Northstar Mathematical Coaching ("Northstar") is a small, 100% online mathematics tutoring business. This page explains what information we receive and how we use it.
Information you share with us
- Session requests and contact: the booking form on this site does not store anything on our servers — it opens your own email app with your answers. When you send that email, call, or text, we receive what you include (such as names, email, phone, grade level, course, needs, and availability).
- Career applications: the tutor application opens an email draft. We receive what you send, including any résumé you attach.
- During tutoring: sessions are held on Zoom and payments are made through Zelle; those services handle information under their own privacy policies.
How we use it
Only to respond to you, schedule and deliver tutoring, communicate with families about a student's progress, handle payments, and review job applications. We do not sell your information.
Students
We ask parents or guardians to handle contact and scheduling for students under 13. Family feedback shown on this site is published only with identities withheld.
Website hosting and analytics
Like most websites, our hosting provider may process basic technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the site. [Owner review: confirm whether any analytics tools are in use and list them here.]
Retention and your choices
We keep emails and records only as long as needed for the purposes above. You can ask us to update or delete your information at any time.
